First work bee of the season

More than a dozen gardeners came out for the first work day of 2017, and many hands certainly made light work. In a short amount of time, we cleaned out the shed (and the little library!), moved ready-to-use compost into one bin for easy access, shovelled a whole lot of manure into the now-empty compost bins, added soil to the last of the raised beds, weeded pathways and plots, and showed new gardeners around.

Thanks to everyone who made it out!

Conquering the manure pile.

Moving precious compost.

Compost ready for use! Add some to your plot this spring!

All topped up and ready to grow.

The most important job of all: picking flowers.
