Natural Dye Workshop – Colour, colour, everywhere
It might be mid September, but our garden season events are not over yet!
Artist Sarah Granskou
Come join our neighbour & felting artist, Sarah Granskou, on an exploration of natural local dye sources for literally every colour of the rainbow (if plum can suffice as violet!).
Tuesday September 27th
6:30 – 8:00 pm
Meet at Guelph Street Community Garden, Uniroyal Goodrich Park
We will start out at the Guelph Street Garden then head to Sarah’s yard at 48 Dekay Street for a look at plants, dyed results and process. Watch wool change colour before your eyes with a woad vat, the historic source of blue dye in Northern Europe for centuries.
Please feel free to bring baked goods, snacks or beverages to share with the group.
See you there!
